Broadway Brook F.C News
Final game of the season ends in stalemate
After an up and down season, Broadway came into the final game of the season full of confidence, as they took the game to Sale creating countless chances. Broadway were awarded a penalty in the 1st half which saw the Sale keeper save Rowbotham's penalty, first half ended 0-0. The 2nd half was a scrappy affair, but it was Broadway who broke the deadlock as Speight's perfect through ball found Rowbotham who volleyed home from the edge of the box. Rowbotham could of put the game out of sight but he was in poor form in front of goal, and with 5 minutes to go, Broadway couldn’t hold onto the slender 1-0 lead as the Sale forward raced clear to make it 1-1.
